  • sue mitchell Greetings All - it's been a while since I added my pen'orth to this Café and its culture! Still harping a bit in the past - 2016 was for Mytholmroyd an amazing year that we hope will continue in 2017. It has started with a flash, bang wallop already! It appears that our long campaign to bring our derelict Grade 2 Listed Station Building back into use for our community is definitely on the needles. We have had  word from Network Rail that the building will be renovated, made safe and ready for a refurbishment by The Station Building, Mytholmroyd  (we have started the process of forming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation). This new enterprise will be a separate entity from the Mytholmroyd Station Partnership. We have received much advise, support and help from Northern, Network Rail, ACoRP, our local Parish and Regional Councils together with the Railway Heritage Trust, and hopefully Architectural Heritage that is currently studying our application for their support towards funding an absolutely necessary Feasibility Study to see if our community want a Community Hub! So thank you all for this support!

  • sally buttifant Hi Colleagues, I am interested to know whether there is a similar level of pay for community rail partnership officers? I am compiling the info from posts as they come up but would find out more if people are prepared to email me details of their pay. I'm thinking possibly that I should go through job evaluation to get a grade raise so need evidence. Thanks Sally

  • Roy Greenhalgh Did you stop take 5! remember the place we work can have hidden dangers, know your environment. Tip when ever digging into the ground to seek advise on buried services, SCAN the area you are digging into; always ask the land owners permission before penetrating the ground surface. Always consider raised flower-beds to avoid contact with buried services. Health and Safety week advice.
